sachaqa Exhibitions
Over the years, Sachaqa has become a space of evolution. Nothing is fixed in gold. No residency, no exhibition, no experience is predetermined. Each one is shaped by the artist, the moment, and the community around it.
As an artist, I was often disappointed by the standard exhibition environment, bright white lights, polite conversation, a quiet room where people skim past the work, and then it is over. Months , sometimes years of soul work reduced to a few glances and a glass of wine.
Art can live in spaces of dance, fire, conversation and celebration.
Sachaqa has developed exhibitions that are immersive and experiential. We combine installations with workshops, ecstatic dance, fire ceremonies, and collaborative moments. We create environments where art is part of life, not separated from it.
We have worked with cafés, studios and community spaces across San Roque and Tarapoto — including:
-
Sachaqa Italia Cafe
-
Donde Segundas
-
Municipalidad de San Roque
-
Ale's Studio
-
Clandestino
Each collaboration reshapes what an exhibition can be. We can install work in a garden, transform a studio, take over a café, or build an experience around your vision. The goal is not just to hang work on walls, but to create an experience for all.
We collaborate with community celebrations like the Patron Festival in San Roque, held each year from July 20–31. By joining existing cultural gatherings. Art becomes part of the festival atmosphere — woven into daily life rather than isolated from it.

Curatorship & Artistic Accompaniment with ale wendorff
Ale Wendorff is a visual artist offering curatorial services for artists in residence. She provides comprehensive support throughout the entire creative process, from the initial concept to the final exhibition.
Her work includes project conceptualization, artwork development, portfolio review, writing and refining the artist statement, exhibition design, and installation support. She also accompanies artists in the search for the ideal exhibition space — whether outdoors in nature or indoors — assists with poster design, and supports the local promotion of the exhibition.
She works primarily with artists engaged in contemporary art, experimental practices, political art, interdisciplinary projects, and emerging artistic research — particularly those seeking to develop and strengthen their own visual language.
Her methodology is based on ongoing dialogue and on building a bridge between the local context and the artist’s work. She approaches each project from a critical perspective that enhances the uniqueness of every proposal.
With experience in exhibitions, collaborations with diverse art spaces, and publications, she offers professional and personalized guidance. Her goal is to enrich the residency process and support it toward a final exhibition that reflects the artist’s development. This includes individual mentoring throughout the residency, ensuring that the outcome strengthens both the artist’s portfolio and professional trajectory.
For a one-month residency, the program includes two sessions per week plus installation days.
Each case is different, and the number of sessions can be adapted according to the length and specific needs of the residency.

sachaqa live
Sachaqa Live was born in the aftermath of the pandemic, when people were emerging from isolation and craving connection. What began as a series of gatherings quickly became a cult-like experience, a space where we could come together, release, and remember what it meant to move collectively again.
These parties were epic. We were healing from loss, from separation, from the pain of that period in time — and we were ready to socialise, to dance, and to feel alive again.
My personal exploration into all-night dancing and the way it can move the body into altered states of consciousness became a deeper investigation during this time. Dance became more than entertainment; it became transformation.
At its heart, Sachaqa Live is about creating a healthy environment for movement within a natural setting. An outdoor gathering with an invited community allows us to maintain intention and protect the energy of the space. A private format ensures that the experience remains safe, conscious, and aligned.
As the wider electronic music scene regained momentum, some of its original magic felt diluted. These events were very much rooted in that specific moment in history, and as the world shifted again, they naturally slowed down.
This year, I would like to reopen the space — inviting artists interested in co-creating a Sachaqa Live event together with 'Mantra' who offer a large venue ideal for a festival-like atmosphere.
This proposal is open to:
-
DJs
-
Dance facilitators and movement enthusiasts
-
Installation artists
-
Creators who want to collaborate on an immersive, collective experience
Sachaqa must charge for this event in order to hire the appropriate equipment and support high-quality local DJs and artists. We are seeking collaboration to help cover core production costs. These gatherings are created from a love of music and the tribe it can form — a community built through rhythm, presence, and shared intention.
The scene blends elements of the ecstatic dance movement with the raw energy of rave culture.
The artwork that is lived and embodied within such an event is not simply observed — it is experienced. It exists in the space between sound and movement, between individual and collective. It is temporary, but deeply transformative.
Includes: Collaborative co-creation of a Sachaqa Live event, venue provision, technical equipment, and curated entertainment.
